This trick was in old site's archives. I believe it lets you lower back of the car up to 2"

Flopping the front hanger also changes your pinion angle.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

How bad does it change the angle?  Is it better to use lowering blocks? ???

Chryco Psycho

it depends on what angle the spring sits at ? blocks can be a better way to go
shims will correct the pinion angle as well

You could buy the perchs for the super stock springs (which are longer).  Then you could cut them down and redrill new holes where you want them, so you can get the height you want.  My perchs are rusted out and I had to buy the super stock ones.  I am going to have to cut them down and redrill them.

blocks or flip down the front bracket...

DON'T BOTH OPTIONS AFFECT THE PINION ANGLE THE SAME ? ???

I don't get why use one or another option without affect on the same way the angle.

raising the front of the spring changes the angle of the front section of the spring which affects the pinion angle slighty rasing the diff with blocks lifts the diff squarely

So using the blocks would be the way to go.  Any draw backs??

I put 1 1/4in lowering blocks I made on this car 26yrs ago, never a problem.

That's what I though but never told difference will be too much to get worry

how much would be the pinnion angle critical to get damage on cross ?  ???

Is the cross and bearings assembly the only part affected by that angle ?  :icon_smile_question:
