Can someone tell me what I should look for (part number, supplier) to find the 8 pin (white rectangular) connector that connects the ignition key switch to the wiring harness?

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Or maybe it protects us. 

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

I had the same trouble ,
Rtspecialitys has them , get new connectors, will make job a lot easier

I just did a quick search on their web pages and could not locate them.  Do you have a part number or link, or is it just best to call them?

If you want the one for the switch just buy a new switch and use the connector part. (They are cheap for a 70.)

I just put in an order at the local auto parts store and it should arrive some time tomorrow.
