Temp gauge

Hi,

While calibrating my new temp gauge I noticed the scale is slightly different compared to my original gauge. The operating range (170 - 230 F) on my original gauge is moved more to the upper end (which in fact gives better readings with a stock sender and factory calibration).

What's the story behind this, anyone knows? Guess there must have been some reason for this change?  :scratchchin:

Using a stock sender (75 ohm to 10 ohm) the temp readings would be quite different on these two gauges unless you re-calibrate the new gauge. My old gauge gives very good readings if you set the low/mid/high points at 75/25/10 ohm (used external resistors on a bench setup).

Will try to calibrate the new gauge and see how it turns out.
