Mallory rev limiting Tach and Firecore RTR

I have a Mallory rev limiting tach I bought in the mid 80's. I used it in my road runner for years. It worked great! The road runner had a stock dual point dist.
I want to install the Mallory Tach on my '69 440 that I installed a Firecore RTR ignition in last year. Will this tach work correctly with this ignition? Will the rev limiter work? Will I damage either the tach or the ignition if I hook the tach up to see if it works?
