So what are you going to do with all your spare time? The delivery man thanks you for not having to order most of the AMD catalog.

Troy

I thought maybe I'd get one of yours on the road. No, seriously I spend it with my wife and kids
Woohoo!!! I work at sub-turtle speed.

I was specifically talking about the lack of metal replacement you need. That's about an afternoon for you isn't it? My Challenger has been apart for 5 years now... :eyes:

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Looks great and congrats on not having to replace much metal on it.
Here, my bud is welding on the outer 3 1/2 to 4 inches of wheel well after plasma cutting the rusted and useless originals. My underside was also completely painted with the wheel well undercoating put back on after paint. Amazing how hard it was to get all the original undercoating off. We got almost all of it off the old fashioned way with scrapers and such with the final amount taken off when we acid-dipped the body!

Just looking at these pics give me the chills thinking about how much more was to be done!

Good luck on your restoration and I am sure it will be beautiful as I love B7 blue !

Are you going to re-undercoat it?

Nope. Floors are way too nice to hide. B7 everywhere !

Awesome project, looks super solid, congrats!

Have you decided which brand of paint you were going to use? Curious because I just had the body of my car Sprayed B7 with R-M Diamont but it was not the same shade as PPG Omni B7 that I had sprayed previously on other areas of the car.

Sikkens Autowave is the paint brand . ive done multiple spray out cards and found a mix that matches the door jamb original pant very nicely.

Brian, what was your thoughts on the "Dustless Blasting"?

It's an uncomfortable feeling seeing the bare steel all wet, but overall I'd do it again.

Good job Brian! Are you not installing frame connectors on this one?

Nope, just the torque boxes and plates. I did opt to go with adding the front boxes .

Seriously, do you have an IV pole with a coffee drip following you around all day? At this rate you'll have a car from purchase to finish in a few months!   :2thumbs:
