I had my 69 727 rebuilt, new converter and tranny tube.  It seems to be leaking quite a bit out of the area where the tranny tube is inserted.  The tranny tube has the o ring installed that came with it.  Is there any other kind of gasket that is supposed to be in this area to keep it from leaking.  The tube is also mounted to the block where it is supposed to be?  Any help would be appreciated.  I have put 4 or 5 quarts of tranny fluid in it as of right now.  Has never been started.

I have the same problem, just not as severe. I am putting a deep pan on my tranny. When I do this, I am going to pull the dipstick and put silicone around the dipstick and then push it back in. I will let it dry overnight and then refill. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
