I need to replace my Dana 60 cover gasket and wondering which sealant to use on the Felpro gasket. Ultra Black or Rightstuff?

I used Permatex gasket maker for gear oil to seal my 8 3/4 gasket and to seal my 9 1/4 rear in my daily driver. The color is gray. I bought it at O Reilly's. Around $10 for the tube. I'm sure you can get it cheaper if you shopped around.

I use Right Stuff....just make sure you never have to take it apart again.....

I have used Right Stuff on my valve covers but wasn't sure about gear oil.

we always used it in place of the cover gasket in our shop, worked just fine with any gear oil
