Forget about the delusional sellers, this guy might not be far off... What do you think?

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/6040188303.html

Looks like they are asking $65k, USD

FWIW, I would have washed it first, shined it up, and presented it better, without cut-off pics.  :Twocents:

Baldwinvette77

like you said, it needs more pictures and a wash, but its hard to say, its in a class of its own between 1 owner, a nice colour, documentation, unrestored and such. if someone did pay 65,000$ i wouldn't feel like they were ripped off, but it wouldn't be deal of the century either  :scratchchin:

oh, and if it's a windsor car i guess that makes it a little more rare too

looks like a good project !  why don't these guys take good pictures  :shruggy:

This car is northeast of Vancouver about 4 hours.  Winter is in full effect there still, so the pics probably suck cause it's in a tight space and piles of snow outside.

Some good points here, it appears overpriced at first but is it?  Original owner, unrestored, if it is indeed OG paint and mostly free of rot.... Who knows.

I'm considering a 1970 Duster 340 original owner, unrestored, A/C, numbers matching, solid, but needing paint for US$10,000.  How many chances we get to buy these cars off the original owner... not many now.  Yeah it's a Duster but an OG owner Charger is out of my league.

"I will post more pictures of the Car after it is washed later this week if it is still available."

I'm sure it will be.

It'll be interesting to see how it cleans up.

I remember the brown Charger R/T from about 5 years ago which surfaced, it was a survivor car, and looked dirty as all. The seller did not clean it up for the pics, either.
Anyways, the car ended up at Carlisle, and really had a shine. Looked amazing in person. But that was 5 years ago, and the price was about 1/2 what this guy wants. $USD.
:Twocents:

Has time improved values?  :scratchchin:

And as another pointed out, how many can buy an original car still? Fewer and fewer  :popcrn:

INTMD8

Looks very nice. Mentions original interior but I see no mention of original paint.

-IF- it's original paint, as described and CAD I think it will bring asking price.  My first guess is that it's not on original paint however.

The dirty/dusty pics don't bother me. Just adds credibility to the story in my opinion.

Also, I wouldn't assume the ask is CAD.  Most Canadian cars I've seen advertised these days, the ask is USD.

LOL....appears to be nice....minus the patina....but the price, wth?

My 69 charger RT is no different that that one, all paperwork, documented to original owner, matching numbers, and all original sheetmetal and restored...  If someone offered me 85 or even 65 I would say sold!......

70 sublime

I like these ads that say original owner

I doubt the guy listing it for sale is the same persons name on the ownership

You can say one registered owner maybe but there might be one or two guys that have had it since it left the original garage that it lived in  :brickwall:

That R/T emblem drips like it has gonorrhea.

You can see some (surface?) rust underneath the taillights.

Challenger340

He is asking $87,500 Canadian, or about $65K U.S. Dollars.

IMO, something smells very fishy to me ?
If everything he is saying is true about the Car's history ?   Why would someone do a "3 poor Pic" ad on a Canadian Craigslist, instead of pursuing a far wider U.S.A. exposure like Ebay ? etc ?
Remember here.... more people in California alone..... than in ALL of Canada ?

Just me...
But I also believe it's the same Car that was listed on the Las Vegas Craigslist for $50K about 6 months ago(all the way from Vernon B.C.), then strangely dis-appeared again.

And then again....
there are still many people HUNTING for this one...

And for those who are really good at spotting things on "V88" Charger R/T's ?
I would invite opinions on the spacing of the R/T Emblem to the rear corner moulding, above the marker light  ?

Are the R/T emblems installed with the same precision as the stripes?

375instroke

How does purchasing from the original owner have an effect on the price?  Sure it's cool, but you won't be the original owner when you fork over the money, so what's the point?

I think it implies you don't get a bunch of stories on the car. You can get it from the original owner, and lessens the chance of BS. But I'd be curious if it's really still owned by the original owner, or if a flipper got it...  :popcrn:

I don't think it has a big effect on price, just gives a more clear picture of a cars history if it hasn't been diluted through 10 owners.

I bought a 59 Cadillac that was -basically- one owner a few years back. Title was in the original owners name and he had passed in 1978, car was in a garage behind the house and hadn't moved since.

Bought it from his son who remembered riding around on the front fold down armrest as a kid and explained the "L" on the key was for the name of his mother Loraine.

So, the car is the car but I find the history interesting as well.

Car has no 4 speed, no track pack, no dana. No hemi, no sunroof. This car's only "extra" value over any other '69 RT is in the q5 paint, # match, the 1 owner aspect, meaning detailed & clear line of history, and the fact that it's never been disassembled, or tampered with. Other then that its nothing crazy special. I'd say it's worth 45k-50k depending on the buyer.

My V88 R/T badge is like the black (yours?) car's.
Front of badge is plumb with marker, not rear of marker like for sale car's is. :yesnod:
