Hamilton - 1970.  Notice the black around the number on the door!

I couldn't find any high quality pics that showed both the numbers and the "DAYTONA * USA" painted on the wall - they do appear "black"

Goodyear decals from that era are either white background with blue lettering or vice versa.   No black.

DAYTONA USA on the wall is blue.      Something tells me the letters are outlined are in red, but I don't have a high res pic handy.

Old photos can be tricky.  The photographer could have used a filter on the lens to change thing a it.
If 69 and 70 "DAYTONA USA" lettering is the same color, but appear different when photographed in different years by different guys, it makes for debate!

Anybody have any originals to sell?

playing with exposure/lighting of the picture they seem to go dark blue

I have that one. Got it free, too!   :2thumbs:
The black one you posted is a repro.

I'm waiting for a real dark blue to surface. Maybe someone here has one in their collection and can scan & post it?
That would get rid of any old vintage photo differences in exposure.

Goodyear blue was the corporate color during the ten years I spent with the company.  it went so far that a common description for someone dedicated to the company was they bled Goodyear Blue.

Is the white/blue lettered and outlined sticker posted above "Goodyear Blue" ?

I've never seen that sticker in black and white, just dark blue and white.

Still hoping somebody has an original dark blue-white lettered sticker they could scan and post.
I have never seen that one in person.

9 5/8" wide.  The correct size for that location on a DAYTONA wing.   :drool5:
