ID these dash vents

Both AC vents right? why a difference?

I think the top dash is not A/C and the bottom is

We had a 73 Charger from new and it had the top style and did not have A/C

Top one is strato vent... not a piece growing on trees BTW. Regular heater cars are with blank panel ( no air outlets ). Strato vent cars allowed to get exterior air being blown by the blower and got a water valve to close the how water circulation to the radiator inside, so you could get air blowed without being affected by the heater function.

Some other differences are of course related to these cars too, like the control unit and box itself. I'm not deep into this, but stuff I have read around

Huh, thought there was ac and non-ac my car doesnt have any vents.

There are AC and NON AC aside with the STRATO VENT option on the NON AC cars line up
