I have the engine block.

69_500

the engine to that car was for sale in Louisville KY around 2001. I do not have any notes on the car newer than that. Other notes I have on the car are from the 80's. I have not seen the car since 80's

I guess it was me that bought it since that was when and where I got it. Engine was sitting in a kids pull wagon in a small garage behind some man's house in the suburbs, no car in sight. most likely scrapped and gone,  jt

Hello, jt4406 I was wondering do you still have the 440 block for XX29LB217159. That engine goes to my car and I would really be interested in getting them back together. Thanks Have a nice day! Lee

Do you own more than one 500?  (Quote from your post on June 2nd...."Hello just looking through the post and saw the 500 I own. It is vin #xx29L9B214397. It is the one with the gas can sitting on fender, it is a 440 4spd. I do not have the original engine but everything else is #s matching would love to find original engine."
Am I missing something? Anyway, yes I do still have it.  jt

Sorry Guys, I goofed my car is the one with the gas can on the fender. It is a 440 4spd. vin #XX29L9B214397. I don't know how I got confused but I did. I got so excited I had found the cars original engine I lost it. I could not sleep last night I was so excited. I apologise did not mean to mislead any one. I wrote the vin from the block jt4406 had down and got confussed. Does any one know of where XX29L9B214397 engine is? I also would like to put my 500 in the registry. I have the vin tag but it is really rusted and holes ate in it. I also have the build sheet but it to is very fragile and deteriated. Thanks and sorry for the mislead, thanks for getting back to me jt4406. When I bought my car it had a 383 in it. So I figure the original engine was blowed. I thought the guy I bought it from said someone in Pa. owned it . I have had the car since 2005 or 6. long time for my memory. It is T7 and console. Have a nice day everyone! Lee

No harm, no foul. Would really like to reunite this block with the car it came in, but it most likely is gone.        jt
