Crab grass is so frustrating.

The stripe doesn't look terrible from the picture, perhaps a bit lighter.  Does look a bit strange with no side marker lights.  :Twocents:

Are you suggesting that the stripe on the top car should look like that on the bottom car? How do you know that the bottom car is OEM?

That bottom car seems (to me anyway) to have a custom stripe painted on the car and is thus under the clear coat. Both of which are going to change the look substantially.

Looks OK to me. I (vaguely) recall those from my youth and top is what I remember NOT the bottom one.

Same. The bottom example almost looks like it is painted.

is Phoenix Graphics version reflective?

it does looks like it is NOT very accurate - here is an original paint/stripe '74 SE with the V6R stripe

Yes, reflective too. Just incorrect shades made. They missed te darker shade, which consist on black pattern over the red

Need to say, that stripe looks really weird to me... what about the blacked out borderline above the gradated area? Original is not like that

I posted these before. The V6R was replaced long ago as I can see remnants of the previous stripe underneath. The V6Y is the original.

I see that it is different from the rest - I don't know what to think   :shruggy:
it is an original paint 40,000-mile 1974 400 SE; the broadcast sheet & fender tag are coded V6R
