She was complete when I bought with original from factory vinyl top and also paint, body etc but of course not in good conditions... only had missed one R/T emblem from Fender. One thing is true, the pics are showing the worst but when I saw her for first time sure did look a lot better because it was completelly assemblied LOL. You are seeing the bones.

after first season of rebuilt I got:

on Last reply you can see the still the original buckets and upholstery over them, also rear bench... BUT CLEAN, LOL... they are the same seats showed on an earlier pic Wink

Dash was of course cracked, I repaired with fiberglass and paint. carpet was new and lower interior panels were painted with an enamel can, but color wasn't close to the original. Was just for protection since they wer A LOT CHALKY AND SCHRATCHED... Console also blue, but lid was virtually destroyed so I intalled the only one I found, a black one.

It came as all 74 Chargers assemblied here in Venezuela with:
Standar drivers side mirror.
Standart cluster.
Am Radio but powered antenna
SE grilles.
Tinted windows
A/C
Buckets, but shortbacks.
Tuff wheel.
Rallye looks but not necesaryly complete package ( only midside stripes, HD brakes and bulged hood ).
Drivetrain: 400 4bb Tq, 727, 8.75 3:23 open. Non emission controls.

All Chargers called R/Ts

First time I've seen these pics Nacho. You really brought it a long way yesnod 2thumbs Those seats look goof compared to the seat we have,. They look like they came from a different car like a Chevy or something. I thought you had a Rallye dash though.

After some years driving it I decided go to the next step... those days were when I become member of D-C.com comunity ( 2001 ). One of the pics above was on the members rides section... do you remember ? Venezuelan_RT_74

then I began to know what I had and started to know what I wished to get.

on next step I was searchin specially to get better the interior... I decide go with WHITE for two reason: one is becsue blue parts are really hard to find, and two I found a nice deal/trade and got the white interior... not perfect but decent for used parts.

Searching on ebay, dealing here and there not without difficulties because the hard economical situation here, trading with some of you guys I got this:

I have some better pics to this reply of those days, but since I'll show how is now my car at the end, and interior haven't changed then I'll show later

no she hadn't rallye cluster... NOW SHE DOES Cheesy

About buckets... even they look a lot different, they really aren't. In fact uses the same bottom section and also the back panels. If you detail them they are practically the same but without headrest Wink

Later I will reply the upgrades and new parts I have got and installed on her...

on august this year I decided go for a new body job... 3rd step of rebuilt. She began to rust on lower quarters ( again ) and had some chips because the DOORS of the car at the sides etc... I already had a repro set of rallye stripes made in here by a graphic desing freind of mine on white reflective, but I wasn't to glue over all the chps and "old paint"

P.S.: here is the reply when I post the body job process but I already posted the pics on another thread... but DAMN I CAN'T FIND IT...

last pics by now... I'm tired... two night shoots, very dark to show how the reflective stripe looks Cheesy

BTW and before you say something. Trunk lid emblems ( Charger and Dodge words ) were installed on that way from factory here in Venezuela... I know in USA was Dodge and Charger below it.

Tomorrow will post some extra pics.

to dodgeitaly and Chargercroatia... we can meet on some european Mopar meet in a future... I'll move to Spain, I hope to spring season.

What kind of paint... just acrylic and also acrylic clear coat ( 480 Dupont ) it needs a light sandpaper again and new polish job, but nothing bad. About parts... Maybe have been hard to find some specific stuff that maybe people sometimes forgett on a rebuilt job untill you notice. Yes have been a little harder than you have guys because you are up there and I'm down here. Even that, the NOS tail light lenses, wheel opening molds and several more NOS stuff I was able to find it here. I had and still have the advantage that I'm I think the FIRST ONE in Venezuela trying to rebuilt a Charger. I made contact with all Mopar Dealers here in Caracas, I have been on all his shops and in fact entered on its deposits Wink.

BTW here is some that I'm wishing/needing:
http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,1509.0.html

I'm trying to get the best optioned car as possible. Only would rest variable speed wiper windshield system, cruise control and all depends the Radio I find and some parts, double rear speaker with the deffog installed and Cassette player.

The car has been also new wired, with an used but PERFECT 74 Uderdash wiring rallye harness. I removed from this wiring the interlock system untill I get it complete to attach it again. The car is wired actually like a 72 without any kid of seatbelt or interlock system.
I also made all the underhood wiring with some donor parts car, but checking wire by wire using original colors.

I have save a lot of money doing by myself everything except recover the seats and body and paint job even I helped.

The plastic interior panels Have been painted. The white ones I got weren't ready to install, some dicolorated and they are also chalky on some parts. In fact three panels are black painted white.

Bumpers have been rechromed, same as mirrors, but passenger side was damaged so that's the reason I'm looking for another mirror, already found it but still up there.

Bumper fillers, have been painted, some replaced for better used ones that My car had.

Passenger side grill was bought on ebay, mine was broken. Headlamps fillers were also used from up there and painted.

The real reason I went white is becasue with white interior and top is the best combo possible even I really wanted the original one, red/yellow reflective. About the nightshot, I also could choose any color reflective: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, even BLACK reflective, and would look the same reflective effect but IMHO, white is the best choose with B9 on body... I don't like black stripe with that kind of blue.

Thanks buddies for all your words.

Cool pics!   I love the side stripe and it is pretty neat they came with a factory power antennae.

I'll try and look next weekend through my "junk" boxes and see if I might have some of the little wanted things you had listed.     icon_smile_cool

Hey Nacho

Do you have any close up pics of your HP exhaust manifolds? I am looking around for a '74 set and don't exactly know what they look like.

Thanks

Right now will be hard since I got it back the dig cam ( wasn't mine )... but as far I know they are the same as earliers with just difference on exhaust flange bolt holes position.

I have an extra pair BUT I bet you won't pay shipping. Tongue

PPL part of the job was because Paul sent me some GREAT pics and very helpfull of his quarters.

To be honest, never is the same a home made panels than a bought ones with cast and weld. So... I'm happy ? yes... satisfied... no... next step on body will be complete quarters and trunk extensions

hehe, thanks guys... never thought this thread would come to float since was long time ago when I started. I posted new pics recently on another thread. Nothing too much different, beside the place where I took and better recovered tuff wheel.

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,25060.0.html

Oh and even I didn't take trunk and engine pics, the brake booster was zinc yellowed plated ( is on that way how it call to that finish ? ) to get original finish not painted anymore, and trunk matt got some discolorated areas because some thinner dropped on trunk and grey herrigbone finish got damage on some areas

nice pics, thanks,  I really like the white interior on that car, wouldn't think I would, until I saw the pics, but it really looks nice compared to the blue, not just the condition, but being the new color.

Those pics of Venezuala, sure had a lot of cars like we have here, saw that old classic Chevy, a Jeep Wagoneer, a VW bug, some imports, doesn't look much different than some streets around here,

Where's some hot Venezualan babes in some pics?    icon_smile_big
