Hey, guys. I got a 68 charger r/t with factory disc brakes and I've got a bad front left caliper. I can't find this thing anywhere. There's one company who's willing to rebuild it for about $500 any idea where I can find this thing?

Another possibility is upgrading to Wilwood, but they are for factory drum brakes upgrade only. Do you guys know if I can use wilwood if I buy a 73 disc spindle from Classic Industries and buy the 73 kit from Willwood?

I have a few sets of the 1973 and later front disc knuckles/spindles. These bolt in and allow the use of the more common later model calipers. I use them on 2 of my Chargers, a 67 Dart, a 72 Duster and other cars that I have converted. You can piece together a front disc kit that works great for far less than buying a new kit from Wilwood.

Cool article. Thanks for sharing. Too many parts to change. I'd rather stick to the stock caliper or just upgrade to Wilwood if I have to change that many parts.

I was never able to get a call back from ramman.

Anyone know the easiest way to convert to Wilwood from factory disk? They don't have an option for factory desk in 1968.

I found that classic industries has a disc brake conversion from drum brakes for 1973 and above that will fit the 68.

Does anyone know if that spindle will fit my 1968 even though I have factory disc brakes?

And will the 1973 Dodge charger Willwood brakes bolt right to that?

I don't know all the ins & outs of the Wilwood hardware.

But a spindle swap should not be any problem.  The factory used different spindles for drums & discs in 1968 but the ball joints & control arms were the same.

I suggest you remove the original spindle/disc/caliper assemblys as a chunk and store them away at home.

pretty sure there is member on FBBO selling a set of calipers
Assuming you have the Bendix style, you didn't say.
