Here's wishing all you Aerofolks a wonderful Christmas!

I have decided to sell my Charger 500 to a good Moparmate 'Jim' of 40 years.
He was present with me when we found the car in 2004 on Oso Avenue.

They seller guy was a fellow European like me and a Nascar NUT!
He has followed the Aero car scene all his life and has owned many Aero's.

So I felt extremely lucky to get my own Charger 500 440 4-speed in F8.
The Charger is optioned exactly as I would have ordered it in 1969!

Maybe I would have stumped up the $750 for a hemi option so that is still on my mind?
So in a month or two the the Charger will leave my garage for the first time in 20 years!

I wish Jim all the best with his 'new ride' and hope she wins a 'Best in Show' at the EuroNats very soon.

I thank everyone on DC.com who have helped me with my twenty year resto.

Happy NEW YEAR to all in Moparland from John UK

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too!

That's good you sold it to somebody where you can still see it and maybe sit in it. It's always hard to sell a car, specially, an iconic car like that. Any plans of getting another muscle car?

I think Jim C is really looking forward to getting the car back on the road.

Thank you for the kind words fellow Aero's.

Selling the Charger-500 is a huge loss to me indeed.
There are only two in the UK and only one 4-speed.
It was always rumoured by some Mopar mates that it was Don Garlits 'Crower car'?
But I have owned her for twenty years and now retired so my finances are at an all time low!
There was sudden realisation that it will never get done (by me) so needs must.

Jim is younger than me and still has a good income.
He knows all the top resto guys in the UK so its just 'pick a lane' and go for it.

My second most favourite Nascar is the 71 Plymouth like Pete Hamiltons.
So not a true Aero car but very successful even so.
Therefore my 'fallback' car is my 71 GTX.

Happy Christmas to all Aerfolks who take the time t read my epitaph.

Many thanx for the kind words tan top!
As my good lady says ''its only a car''!

Her son in law caught legionnaires and is on full life support for Christmas.
Makes you think very carefully about the future, its fragile at best.
His brother died of Cancer at the same age 57...

Life is too short for twenty year long restorations!
The GTX has taken me 25 years already...
