I am slowly rounding up the parts to put a 70 Charger back together
It was a total apart project that I picked up from an estate sale
And yes I did not get all the parts

So I have been always looking for parts or upgrade some of the ones I have on hand
Couple months ago I found a better set of front fenders

Last week I lucked out on a complete interior for a 70
Went and picked it up yesterday
It was a 766km round trip or 475 miles

The car had VIN XP29 L0G 142441 for anyone keeping track

As you can see the car was in great shape
It came from British Columbia to Ontario about 5 years ago

The new owner has hired this shop to build it into a resto mod type car
That is the hellcat engine it is getting
All new front and rear suspension
Total new interior .....

I ended up with all the seats , the new carpet , headliner , door cards and back seat cards , arm rests and chrome base, door sill covers , package tray cover , seat belts .......

Best part was everything he took off I got all the little clips and screws and bolts that held them on
I needed the teeth that go around the back window that the head liner hooks into and got that also

I brought some extra cash in case there was some other parts and ended up buying the steering column ( mine needs the wire harness parts) and also got the front window and back window stainless trim  eaves trough crome trim and the wheel opening trim

Nice score.
I'm curious as to why people started calling door panels "door cards".
The British call them by that name, not us.

Weirdly I've heard both for a long time but not interchangeably. An older friend (hes been into cars since he was a kid in the 50s) calls any flat panel/paper interior panels "cards" and anything with moulded plastic or more 3D styling "Panels". Like, 68 charger - door card. 73 Chevy c10 - Door Panel. Apparently i have adapted to the same thing without knowing it...until this post.

I think card is more like it was made from thick cardboard and got shortened up to card

I am always looking for 70 parts also. However, people's prices today are just too far out of reach in most cases.
