Time (as in need more)!

Not sure how it happened but I keep getting dragged-off to do things other than to enjoy my old car. The absolute best times to use it (Spring and Fall) seem to be filling up with other activities that keep me away from home more & more these days (the guys with AC in their cars don't seem to have this issue). Driving the empty and almost perfectly straight roads up in Nowhere, Minnesota (almost in Canada) last week had me wondering how much fun they'd be listening to a healthy 440 echoing off of the surrounding real estate.  Getting it there wouldn't be easy, but having  it there would be a blast.  Gotta think about this one...

Learn to say NO when you need to! If they really love ya it won't be an issue.

Just get in & go, tell everyone you're too busy. 

My problem is trying to get major repairs done on the outside of the house so it leaves very little free time for the cars. Weather hasn't been cooperative, so I am not going to open walls & be subjected to water indoors. 

I'd love to put the tools away, take the scaffolding down & go for a long drive.

B5: I'm my own worst enemy here. I like to do these other things too (and they are even more seasonally restricted).

It's a balancing act for everybody anymore, I'm sure. If it was more like the old days (when these cars were just cars, then...no worries, you'd just drive them everywhere and didn't even think about it).  There is just a time and a place for everything now, it seems, and it somehow takes me longer to get to any of it.

My car in northern Minnesota would be lots of fun until the 1st bad weather event there, then nothing would be fun about it.

I hear ya, see my Charger IS just a car. Repaired not restored and handed down never sold. My standard is good enough for now!
