Are those holes in the metal? If so, that is probably a void in the metal during the casting process, maybe some impurity that gets revealed when machining is done.
I have a 340 crank that had a hole like that in a rod journal. My machinist said that as long as the edges were not raised that it won't pose a problem.
I don't know that I'd be as confident with a lifter that has the same condition, especially several of them. It would seem that if the company settles for substandard work from their foundry, I wouldn't have much confidence in their machining of the components.

Cosmetic flaws like that don't instill confidence but shouldn't affect performance. Think of the pits as "oil reservoirs".

Wow has the aftermarket gotten that bad that we now accept this as good enough?  Hell no, send that Chinesium garbage back as fast as possible  :slap:
