Just make a search about Venezuelan protest since 2002. Maybe a thousand of ppl has being killed on straight protest actions, plus more after being hunt, thousands in jail and some other thousands tortured. This is without talk about the around 8 millions of ppl exodus from Vzla.

My dad died some months before I came here and had to fix some bank issues we had here (by a bank bankruptcy) with all the money my dad left and we were to need to survive... my brother has mental issues (along with some alcohol and drugs deals), I had to get enough money I wasn't getting in Venezuela. I have both nationalities by my parents origin...

I'm working really hard to maintain two homes. (BTW, same as most of Inmigrants legal or not in any country searching for a better life) Is not being easy and is becoming harder day after day.

I do understand, that ice agent that defended himself, was also dragged by a car about a year ago, leading to 36 stitches in his arm. I went back through every video I could see of the shooting, sure enough, she was trying to hit him. I don't know if she was trying to be some super mom, to make herself look good to her wife, I don't know. That ice agent had every right to defend himself.

I hope one day you can make it back to Venezuela, all I've heard 30 years ago how beautiful it was.

Come on, tensions are on HIGH lately. Several reasons for that exist, here is my view:
The agents feel that it is their duty to enforce the law and to do the jobs to which they are assigned. As with any officer, they know that they are on the front lines and their lives are in peril. Many agents have been "doxxed" where Latin Cartels have discovered their identities and targeted them and their families so they were allowed to hide their faces to prevent that. I don't like that they have to do that but they do have a job to do and if it helps keep them safe, it is an unfortunate need.
A short time ago, two agents were killed so that makes ALL of them nervous and more alert.
Well meaning yet completely irrational white leftist Karens seem to think that their voice carries more weight than it should and they insert themselves into situations where it is neither needed nor wanted. This particular cunt tried to block a road, refused to move, refused to exit the vehicle and tried to escape while agents were walking near her vehicle. One agent was in front of her Honda as she tried to leave yet she plowed right ahead. Agents are on high alert trying to apprehend the worst offenders while dealing with these stupid protestors and obstructionists all while having to protect their own lives and those of their fellow agents. In short, this idiot was in a place that she did not have to be, she made stupid and dangerous decisions and paid the price for it.
I would have preferred that this woman were to have stayed out of this. I would have rather NEVER heard of her at all.
I would have preferred that NO additional Immigration enforcement actions were needed because NO illegal immigration warranted it. Too many bleeding heart types get all twisted up on social issues thinking that their voices MUST be heard without thinking that they are dancing really close to their own graves.

Her window is down. She hears the orders. She understands the orders. She ignores the orders.

Then she puts the car in reverse.
Still doesn't comply.
Then she puts it in drive, NOT park! She moves forward into the agent.

That's not "confusion."
That's not "panic."
That's decision after decision after decision.

Now put yourself in the agent's shoes for half a second. A driver is already in an unlawful act! refusing commands in a hostile, chaotic scene, and now that driver uses a vehicle to move toward you. You get a split second. You don't get the luxury of "Maybe she's just stressed." You have to assume the worst, you have to think of protecting other people like the partner at ther window, because if you assume the best and you're wrong, you don't go home or someone else.

So the agent fires after she makes an intentional and aggressive move toward him, because he has no idea what her intentions are, and she just demonstrated she's willing to escalate.

Now... imagine her three kids. At school. Sitting there like any other day. Not knowing their mother is out playing street-hero games for criminals in the middle of a work week, with the two adults reaponsible for them!

She didn't think about them.
She didn't think, "If I get arrested, who picks my babies up?"
She didn't think, "If I get hurt, who raises them?"
She didn't think, "If I die, they have nobody."

She thought about protecting criminals.
She thought about interfering with federal agents.
She thought about the camera.
She thought about the crowd.
She thought about the moment.

There is no amount of evidence, money, tears on TV, or news spin that can make this make sense.

As a mother: NOTHING about this makes sense.

At minimum, she knew her actions could get her arrested. At minimum. And she still chose it. She chose strangers. She chose chaos. She chose lawlessness.

Make it make sense, because the only thing I see is three kids who just got abandoned by the only parent they had left, not by accident... but by a series of deliberate choices.

If you're stupid enough to BLOCK a road, attempting to stop a law enforcement officer from doing his job, a legal and valid job by the way....Then as a stupid person, you have to accept what happens as a result.
Videos have shown that she blocked a road, refused to move, refused to exit the vehicle, then tried to drive away with an officer in her path.

Oh, and since you mention it....the reason the agents have their faces covered is to protect their identities from being discovered by ILLEGAL INVADERS AND CARTELS that could/will cause harm to the officer or any of their family members. This is a real thing.

IF the situation were to have occurred in 2023, would every critic speak with the same enthusiasm and passion?
Would the ones supporting the action be as supportive? I can tell you that for me, I usually support the actions of the Police until I see strong evidence of misconduct. In short, I don't look to hang them FIRST, then change my mind when I am convinced otherwise.
I do know that time and time again, when citizens are asked if they support a piece of legislation, they are often ALL supportive until they are told that #45/47 is behind it. Many "common sense" laws and proposals appeal to the logical side of us.
Much of the hatred in society is irrational and emotional, two traits that are FAR more common from ONE particular side. That side has most of the media pushing and influencing their feeble minds.
The other side is far from perfect but certainly more rational, logical and merit based.
