Welcome to the site, TiMopar!

Your next official action should be to post some pictures of those Mopars!!...   :P

Thankyou Geno. Always intersted in your posts and knowledge.  No photos yet, will try and address that soon. Have no Wingcars, though a Daytona has always been my Dreamcar....;
XS29L8 ( SS-1, 4-Speed )
WS23L9 ( EF8, A33, N96 )
RS23U0 ( EV2, A33, N96 )
RM23V0 ( TX9, A32, N96 )
BS23J0 ( FJ6, D32 )
JS23V1 ( FY1, A34, N96, A78 )

NO WING CARS BUT A HEMI CUDA?  Heck I would take one of those any day!!!!!!! :yesnod:  Looks to be some nice other numbers in there too, RR, and charger.  WOW NICE COLLECTION!!!!!!!!!! :icon_smile_cool:

Sorry to disappoint, but no Hemis either; its an AAR. Think it would be an`R` for Hemi ( had to check tho`! )....

Blown70

OK UR right, I am not that old but I am losing my mind.  Sorry my mistake. :rotz:

I WOULD STILL LOVE THE AAR THOUGH....... to me more than a HEMI as the guy I used to show with had one.  I LOVE THOSE CARS :icon_smile_cool:

Sorry Guys, I have no idea. I was given a copy years back from a friend in Canada, if I remember correctly.  If you look closely Im sure you can see Elvis` head as the `I` on `King Daytona`....

Brock Samson

this is great stuff...
welcome!  ;)

Ghoste

Cool article.  The story on the Queen Daytona appears to be from Popular Hot Rodding.

Charger_Fan

I just noticed how far back that seat & shifter are in that first pic! :o I guess Big Willie really is a pretty big guy, huh?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Goldfinger71

Hey Guys............can anyone answer my question about the Brotherhood dragway?....Did it re-open or not?

also:  does it say ''african elephant'' on the thunderbolt hood scoop???, my visions ok but if anyone can tell me differents its all good with me

THE CHARGER PUNK

And of the pic of the queen daytona in the background, can anyone make out what it says besides the big ''KEITH BLACK'' decal? looks to be in handwriting. and another question on the queen is the rear wheel well flared a little?

another  question for awhile does anyone remember what that big square decal is under '''TOMIKA'' in the pic of the king daytona at the strip????

And my last question is what does it say ''street racing inc.''?? all i can make out is batoul???? international

"New Breed of Brotherhood is exactly what it says.  That was the club motto, according to the American Racing advertisement.

Yep.  Did you notice that the "New Breed of Brotherhood" lettering was only masked off when they painted the wing from black to white?

Yes, that's what it says.  You'll also notice that the same hood that was on the earlier pictures of the King Daytona at the strip was later installed on the Queen Daytona that we see in the article picture, and then ends up on the yellow car that this thread started off discussing.  My guess is that if Gary stripped it down, there might be some evidence on the teardrop sides of "African Elephant" lettering under all the layers of paint.

It reads "Keith Black Racing Engines"

and another question on the queen is the rear wheel well flared a little?

Pretty common modification back in the day, and done to cover the big tire/wheel combination they were running.  They flared the quarterpanels out rather than narrowing the axle and tubbing the wheelwells.  You can tell in other pictures that the King Daytona's tires come right out to the edge of the quarterpanel flares.

I can afford the extra free time with the DC.com Moderator's paycheck I get...   ;)

Actually, I was still at work when I replied to Matt's questions.  It was a nice break for a few minutes from the "real" work at hand here at the office.

THE CHARGER PUNK

apparently big willy had these stickers on his car that were '' kill stickers'' against companys like phord and chebby, anyone know what these looked like, maybe draw a pic of one in photoshop in paint or maybe scan a mag article with a pic of it,any or all info would be helpful-MATT

tan top

if it is the ones I'm thinking of , i was reading about these kill stickers in a old mopar mag , you could originally buy them through MR NORM at grandspaulding   , i believe these are being re popped by someone.  they were like little tomb stones with  ford / chevy etc on it with a red cross through it

Rabbit aka. Deuces High

Gary I told you I was looking for info on the Big Willy O0 cars. I found this site tonight and see you put some of my photos on here from Bowling Green. To everyone else I met Gary there in Bowling Green for the first time and we (in my opinion) became good friends that weekend. I am glad to see everyone here is enjoying the photos (some of which contain my Chevy II) and I want to share a couple more here with everyone. As Gary said he has a copy of the title that Big Willy signed and I have a photo of that copy that I will share here as well as a photo of the damage done to the floors of Gary's car as he mentioned earlier in one of his posts. I also have a shot or two of the King Daytona from Two-Lane Blacktop. :drive:. I will look and see what else I can dig up as well to share here with everyone. Oh and to answer the question about Big Willy re-opening the track I tried to call him a couple times this week (to ask about me getting together with him to dicuss the old street racing) and I got his voice mail which on it Willy says the track will be open in a few weeks.

The two lane Blacktop photo. If you look real close the radius on the quarter panel is more square than the American ad.

Rabbit aka. Deuces High

Here are a couple more photos that I took in Bowling Green. Someone asked what it said on the side of the wing and here is the photo that I took of the wing and n edited version that appears like a negative that makes it a little easier to read. It does appear to me to read "New breed of Brotherhood".
