I just had a bummer of a day.
Had the 440 all ready to go in and the oil pan doesn't clear the center link.
This is a new pan from summit part# dcc-5249064. The pan is wrong and the sump is wrong, I could't even use the old pan. I failed to compare them before installing (lesson learned). The original pan has the sump placed somewhat in the middle, whereas this new pan is toward the rear.
Can anyone tell me how to get the correct sump? I don't know what to ask for if I get the wrong part asking for a 440 pan.

Trucks had a rear sump pan. All of the cars I have seen used the center sump unit.

I would use the Mopar Hemi pan and pickup.

I like Summit but their service reps stink, A good salesman would have ask if it was for a car or truck. So don't feel too bad, its a easy mistake if you don't do alot of engines. They are good on returns but don't know cause you install it but I would call and tell them that they should have ask what it was for. They are easier than Jegs on returns, heck they refunded my shipping just cause I though one plug wire was to high in Resistance but still with in specs.

:iagree: Get the hemi pan and matching 3/8in pickup. Mancini sells it as a package.  ;)
