$ 8.00 per gallon in iceland... so quit yur bitchin..  slap

I apologize...I forgot to include Iceland  in the countries that I don't care what they pay for gas. If I lived there, different story. Any Icelanders unhappy with their gas prices need only move to the refined petroleum Utopia that is the United States...ONLY $3.75 a gallon, which is 99 cents a liter. Wow...now it seems okay...yayyyy!       dance dance dance dance dance dance dance dance dance dance

Scaring Ricers & Setting off Car Alarms since 1984

« Reply #682 on: August 15, 2008, 12:49:52 PM »

before I check in, it is FUPPED DUCK that we are pumped up to be paying what we do. I don't care AT ALL what they pay in Europe or Great Britain (sorry Moparites on the other side of the pond...you know us Americans; selfish to a fault shruggy)...at any rate, I digress..

I saw in Ravenna, OH today at Marathon/Circle K $3.58 for regular...$3.75 in Garrettsville, OH...$3.65 in Twinsburg, OH where I work. Yay.

 Especially for you Red...

Took the '68 out to a business meeting this evening (can you spell writeoff?), and just got back in. Filled up with 91 octane (10% ethanol) at the Unocal on Alum Rock and 680 (San Jose, CA). Cost was $4.259/gal. The bitch of it was I ran out before I could get to the station. Seems someone was sipping at my tank when I was away on vacation...(and yes, my gauge is not working so it is mostly my fault.  brickwall). Good thing it was downhill to the gas Station...I coasted for a 1/4 mile. Somewhat embarrassing smelling like gasoline (had to buy a 2-gal plastic can for $12.50 at the station to get the fuel to the car, and it made a mess going in RantExplode) when trying to get a signature on a $100,000 contract. (thankfully they did sign  Grin ). Just another day in paradise.   icon_smile_wink

You guys don't know how could you got it. Premium here in New Zealand costs currently 2.04 per LITRE. That's NZ8.16 per gallon!

Convert with currency, and we're paying USD5.95per gallon.

Got a bit of catching up to do yet guys icon_smile_dissapprove

If you foreigners haven't visited the US,

The reason everyone throws a fit about $4/gallon gas is because 95% of America can no longer live without gas.  Most of the cities have been allowed to become sprawled-out suburbia so public transportation or walking just isn't a viable option.  We literally need cheap gas like we need electricity & running water.

We're right around 3.50 her in North Alabama for regular, Plus is about 10-12 cents more. But it seems the Gas Crooks, er I mean oil Companies have found a new excuse to push it back up. Some incoherent BS about the soviets and the "bulls" being back in the market, even though the market was steady or up today.

They aren't gonna be happy until we are paying 4 bucks or more ALL THE TIME.   fu  That is what I say to them!

Did anyone see on the news last night where we are all probably getting screwed also buy a lot of places by not even getting the correct amount of gas when we fill up? Weights and measures don't hardly control the amount we are getting. So we are getting a double screwing  icon_smile_angry

I heard today that gas here could be as much as $7.00 by the first of next week brickwall Apparently Hurricane Ike has caused the 2 major pipelines that run to the tank farm in Greensboro to flow at "limited capacities" causing a shortage around here. woohoo

It was the same here yesterday. It was at almost $6.00 a gallon for a while untill phone calls flooded whoever is incharge of the gouging laws around here. Its leveled off at ~$5.00 a gallon today. Some of the stations are selling it for $3.49 until they run out and they will not be getting any more until the price comes down.
