timing gears install....

just curious if there are any thrust bearings or buttons that should go on with a new timing chain..... want to get it right the first time while installing and degreeing the cam as this is a fresh engine that didnt have a cam when i got it....  also to help it is a 74 440 engine 30 over with a comp cams 488/491 lift cam with 9.5 to 1 compression.....

just the gears and then the oil slinger on the end of the crank after you istall the crank sprocket

if its a one polt cam, then you just bolt it to the cam, use loctite on the bolt and make sure you use a good cam bolt washer as well  they are thick.  alot of people replace the bolt with a grade 8 bolt as well

the dist drive pulls the cam into the block so no button is needed
