Man, no matter what I drive I always catch a F&$#ng rock in the windshield. What should I expect to pay for a new windshield for my 73? Any advise?

KMPX2

Call every place in the phone book prices can be very different from one shop to the next. Make sure they know that you are footing the bill and not a insurance company.

Nice to hear about something that isn't in the $500 range for a change.

Not sure if this is a good comparison or not, but I got a new Pilkington windshield for my 69 for $80 and I can install it myself.  Are 73's that much more difficult to find??

73s (3rd gens, arent they all the same?) can be found at any glass place... My dad and I installed it ourselves so the glass was about 130 or so, 20$ for the primer and glue. I called around to a few places and one "big glass shop" gave me a price over double of what the other places did, prices were all over the place so just call everyplace in the phonebook.

Check the Yellow Pages!   :yesnod:

I wanted to get a ballpark price, so I'll know if the businesses I call are high. Or if their prices are high.

MOPARHOUND!

The 71 Charger R/T has 3 chips in the windshield down low.  I got a quote from a large shop of $200 for windshield and labor about 2 years ago.

General consensus is if you haven't done it in the past, it's worth the extra $$ to have a glass shop do the removal and installation.

*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

I can't ever find a clear (non-tinted) front windshield glass for my '69.  Anybody know where to get one new?
