Can the plastic dash be repainted?

My dash has so many scratches and the black coloring is gone in many areas.  Is it possible to spray paint those?  If so, is it a flat or semi-gloss paint?  If painting is not the fix, what is?

Ghoste

It's a semi-gloss and it can be painted.  Are you taking the whole thing apart or just trying to touch up a couple of areas?

dspaulding70

I actually already have it all taken apart so re-painting will be easy to do.  Any suggestions on how to get the raised lettering painted silver?

Glad to hear it can be painted.

Ghoste

I used model paint, a very fine brush, a large magnifier with a built in light and a lot of patience.

You can get it professional restored also, but it's pricey.  I'm going to repaint mine myself using semigloss SEM paint.

Try a "Testors" paint pen for the raised letters.
