How early are these in production? I recall a post a while back showing some really early examples with the extra hole by the wiper motor.

That red 68 firewall 100039 R6 R/T mag ad car... 7/28/68 build date
Seems to have a few extra holes. It makes me think that they might of been ahead of themselves ???.Not only do you have the unexplained hole. You have the vacuum headlight hose& tach hole shown on the firewall .And what been have been the implied hole where the 70 charger electric wires go in.As they already had electric headlights in 66??

The three holes to the right, driver's side, of the bulkhead connector are the vacuum hose opening, the lower one is the cruise control (where typically the tach grommet goes) and then the other is the tach...  I'm still bewildered concerning the big one next to the wiper motor.... I had a picture of a Daytona optioned with cruise and tach... But, can't find it.. Dave, I think you sent it to me once......

Hmmm, but all of the other cars posted with that mystery hole and the plug are pretty early cars. Are they all B plant cars? Or some G as well?

Just wondering if it was limited to one plant, and at one time period or what.

I'll let Chris say for sure, but I do recall the car 039 as being the one people thought was the poster car. Also the earliest Charger built, that is known of.

thats what I remember about it anyways.
