This is the seat that good ole HLPAG put in my Charger (not bolted in), and I was wondering what they actually go in and if they are worth any money so I can sale them to buy parts...

Thanks

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

That looks like a 1965/66 Ford Mustang seat to me?

I was thinking a Ford product as well.  It looks like that "comfort-weave" perforated insert stuff they used a lot.
Hey, we have a resident Ford guy logging in to the aero section, maybe he'd know?

Thanks guys, that was my first thought too, a mid 60's mustang seat.  Any ideas if they are worth anything?

Ghoste

It's gotta be worth something to somebody.  How much and who though are the questions.  Is there a part number on it anywhere?  I'm pretty sure Ford part numbers tell the year and application if you know how to decipher them.

i'm going to go with....Not a lot due to the availability of ford repro parts.

here's an ad on ebay for the same exact seat.  it's at $19 currently with 5 days to go.  just track this ad and you'll know how much they are worth when it's over.  Roughly anyways.

Thank you for the link....

Yessirree...worked on lots of those....anywhere between 1966  to 1968  Ford Mustang.   They don't sell well to be honest.  A Mustang is probably one of the most cheapest cars to restore.  In fact, I think, as far as American Muscle cars are concerned, Mopar and Pontiac are probably the most expensive to restore i.e. replacement sheet metal, lenses, mouldings, etc. etc.   We had a set on Ebay not too long ago (Mustang seats) and they sold for 35 dollars (no reserve)  On the other hand, I sold a set of "69 Charger headrests on Ebay not long ago, started the bidding at 30 dollars   and ended up selling them for over 200!!!   The reason this is, is because you can buy brand new complete Mustang seats, already covered  through National Parts Depot.   Anyway...I'm rambling on and on.....Good luck!!!   I'm curious as to see what you sell them for.  Keep me posted!

AirborneSilva

Thanks, I'm sure that's why HLPAG threw them in the car.  I doubt they would have if they were worth much.

Neal_J

I don't believe that seat is Mustang-specific.  Lots of mid-sixties Fords had them and they are worth little.

Brock Samson

funny we can recognise it so easy took me about three seconds if that..  :P

Ghoste

Like Neal said, they used them in a lot of applications and years...

I have those seats in my 67 Cougar.
