Temp. gauge upgrade

Just something I found out last night when installing my Performance graphics gauge faces...
I used to wonder why my car ran so cool even in hot weather, usually the gauge would show around 150-170 degrees never more than that.
Apparently back in 68 they installed the wrong temp gauge face plates, then there was a recall and the dealer would install the upgrade free. I would guess not many owners took their cars in for that though.
The kit from Performance car graphics gives you both the original and the upgrade that shifts the numbers to the left.

Wow, I have never heard of that before.  So what temp is your car going to be at now with the proper ones on there?

Looks like it should be around 180-200 degrees, heres a link to the ones I bought and shows the change...

hey bad....
hope you did the "white" face gauges!!!?!?!?!? that's what i was gonna do if i kept/re-did my stock ones', but i'm gonna upgrade to new autometer type gauges, with a white face!! i think they look cool white!!!
