so this is for later models ....mines a 69 ..iguess this is replacing some of the older components

GTX

My understanding is that up to late 69 there was a ballast and regulator with points distributor, don't know where you'd find a regulator. I found an oem on Ebay.
My '70 built late '69 had a regulator and not electronic module (ECU).
In late' 69 for the '70 model year an electronic ignition was introduced. In '70 and I think a couple of years after there was one electronic module and after that a newer one was introduced. I think there was just one wire on the plug that was different and could be adapted???

Anyone know if this is correct?

Electric control module was optional on 72s and standart equippment on 73s

On lates 70s was introduced 4 pins modules to replace 5 pins module, but is a plug and play job.

On 70/71 what it was introduced is the electronic regulator as standart equipment using double field alt, regulated by negative instead positive like earliers. Then one wire extra is needed to feed the extra alt brush.
