The last snowmobile I had was 30 years ago and I took the engine out of it and dropped it into a beefed up go-cart frame.

I took this pic tonight while on a walk with one of my dogs. We went by the local park, where they had this "relic" prominently displayed. Anyone know what it is?  :scratchchin:   :icon_smile_wink:  Hint...think gold....

Quartz rocks.  They would bring in quartz rock from the mines and put it in the stamp mill to smash it up.  This made it easier to get the gold.   They would then take the smashed rock out and pan it or sluce box it.   :scratchchin:   I think I spelled sluce wrong... ?    :shruggy:    I need you Dan.   :smilielol:   Most times a gold vain is in quartz rock.  If you're panning in a river or creek, a good place for gold is in black sand.

On a side note the Joshua Hendy Iron Works (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joshua_Hendy_Iron_Works) was located in Sunnyvale, at the site that Westinghouse since recently owned and operated (and where i worked for a number of years) but is now owned by Northrup Gruman (where the missus works).  :coolgleamA:
