Hi, I'm really interested on get variable speed wiper motor and switch very usefull down here in the tropic where rains acts funny :P. On my 74 Mopar parts catalog diagram section makes reference about they exist but on Text section ( where PN is stated ) doesn't make any mention so my questions are:

On Variable speed againts 3 speeds where is the diference ? motor and switch or just switch ? The cluster I got long time ago was from 71 and wiper switch came with it. I guess is avariable switch that does have 3 positions: OFF... THEN CONTINUOUS TRACK, similar to dimmer function  WHAT I THINK IS THE VARIABLE SPEED, and at the end another click what I guess is MAX SPEED. I'm searching 72/74 assembly since 71 uses diferent prongs/plug setup, and is bigger. Prongs quantity and wires are the same, but plug doesn't match.

Another question ( this one just to 3rd gens owners )

2 speeds assembly incorporates a parking cam assembly that makes wipers hide under the hood... everthing is perfect untill that. However 3 &/or variable speed doesn't ilustrate this parking cam kit on assembly and this topic has been touched several times making reference about cranks and link are different between them... so I would love to know from you 3rd gen with 3 speeds ( or variable ) owners HOW DOES WORKS your wipers when you turn them on ? they start to work then makes the track JUST ON GLASS and when you start off they hide down teh hood ? or they do the complete track everytime from under the hood up to top of glass trace ? that is REALLY A MISTERY to me how they hide and get out from hood without the parking cam stuff.

I'm making a really deep investigation about the VARIABLE speed kind... oftenly I start to think is my imagination... but Catalog states:

AND I DO HAVE what apparently is a "variable speed switch", but is 71. Prongs doesn't match with plug even wires are the same on electric diagrams

;D I have to admit that have been LOT TIRESOME  on board :leaving: with four specific topics ( maybe someone more around too LOL ):
seatbelts ( specially about 74 setup, and learnt about earliers )
sway bar ( 71/72 and 73/74 )
74 Interlock system
and wiper stuff

but If I'm not tiresome then never have gotten the info  :boogie: and was able to help :)
