windshield wiper motor questions

last night on my way home from work it started to sprinkle,so i turnned on the wipers,aand when i got home and turned them off,they park in the middle of the windshield?WTF,now what?

It did happen to me, and was the plastic main gear broken from shaft inside the motor... need to replace that gear. I think is still available up there.

There's one wire to the motor that has power whenever the key is on.  That's what feeds the motor so it can park after the switch is turned off, check to see if it still has power.

Also the park switch inside the motor could be bad.  A reman motor would be the easiest way to fix it.
