when you get your temps do you need to take a written test or a driving test?

4cruzin, in Anchorage you could get your learner's permit with only a written test (@ 14).

You just had to have a licensed driver over the age of 20 in the car when you were driving.

Mind you this was back in 1990 when I went for mine.

In Ohio (where MH and I live) you just need to take the written to get your temps.

(Unless, of course, they changed the laws recently.)
