Rob Bruce, driver of the “Zombie" blown nitro nostalgia funny car, became the first competitor in the category to blast through the five-second barrier. Bruce accomplished the feat during a race on Saturday, September 17, at Ontario’s Grand Bend Motorplex.

Bruce, of Flint Michigan, paced his 1968 Dodge Charger to the new record during the first round of eliminations when he registered a mark of 5.94, 214.00.

"It was cool," said Bruce of his record run. "I actually had the car shut off before the end. It ran 200 at the eighth-mile!"

Cool to see a Charger dragster, an old one, a real one, not a new one.   The grill is a little tall.  Here is a pic of a daytona one.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Ya, oops, the nose painted like that and the wing posts slant in going up, instead of out, my bad.
