Prepping for the body shop

Im starting to take the Charger apart to get it ready for the body shop. Im gonna take out whatever I can...engine and trans...that will have to stay in cuz theres no way I can take that out. But some of the stuff I can take out is the grille, bumpers, seats, door panels, trim, tailights and a few other things....so heres my question. What needs to be taken out of a car inorder for it to go to the body shop? And should the fenders and hood be taken off?

I gutted mine right out.  I didn't want any surprised.  Everything was pretty easy to get out.  I've never taken a car apart before.  The less they have to take off or put back on the less you have to pay.  Obviously if you want your engine compartment painted everything should come out.  Pretty easy to do, I'll tell you how easy it is to put back in, in another month or so.

Just remember to bag and tag all fasteners, take lots of pics before you remove stuff. It may be months or years b4 you put it back together. I agree with the others, take as much stuff as you can b4 taking it there. Ask the body/paint man what he wants removed.  Good luck.
