Thats the car, I sat around all day last Sunday waiting for the guy to come down to see my 68 and 73 for a trade.  He went to see a blown Chevelle insted.  I called about an hour after he should have been there and his wife said he should be there anytime,  He said the guy with the chevelle waisted his time so he wasnt making any trips.  He would contact me if the car does not sell on E-bay.  If any of you are interested he bought the car off Ebay from a guy in South Carolina, still has not transfered the title says he trades off or sells to fast to register the car.  He gave 35k for it and that will be his reserve.  If it doesn't sell I may trade for it.

This guy is feeding you alot of Bull.  I remember last time that car was for sale in North Carolina the guy had a hard time meeting his 35 grand reserve.  I'm pretty sure that the car was bought for 25 grand.

Daytona R/T SE

  Just my  :Twocents:

  No rear window plug.

  No shortened trunklid.

  No "A" pillar moldings.

3 inch gap between the nose and fenders/hood, filled with what looks like plastic landscaping trim.

  Lift off headlight covers.

Made from a '68 Charger 500??? No such critter. (except for that "one" but I don't think this is it)

Are there any Z-bars, latch tray ??? What is holding the nose on? How soon will it fall off ?

Are there wing braces and washers? Or is the wing just bolted to the quarters?

Looks like a quicky Hack-Job to me  :hack:

The car consists of a 68 318 car with a 69 tailpanel,'70 front clip and a cheap nosecone and wing

  bolted to it.

Anybody that buys it will be setting themselves up for a lot of work, parts scrounging and

  dissapointment.

The car is a piece of shit, not worth 1/3 of the 42K he's looking for.

The seller got boned and is looking to bone someone else- harder and quicker.

  Hans Luedtke would be proud.

QuoteI did not build this car, so please don't put the workmenship down

that statement says it all . i see it has that stinger nose problem . the nose does not match the fender contours. that makes the nose to fender  rubber pop out . i remember that car. it didn't reach $35000 in the last auction. Rene

The guy says that he didn't build the car, but he did alot of stuff to it from the last time it was for sale.  I know the last time it was on ebay, larry (datonalo) was picking on the nose.  I think the new owner painted the car. Inside the trunk looks different and I also noticed there was no wing braces.

I have sent him a message, I will get over to take a look next week if he has not sold it yet.  It will have to look pretty good for me to trade, my cars are not trailor queens but they are both nice cars and I have done most of the work my self, so I am kinda attached.  I would like to have a wing car and with the market being a little soft now, I figure it's time to pull the trigger.  I just want to make sure it's the right car.

I have had that car since 82, I won't say I wouldn't sell it, but it would take a good chunk a change.  That was my dayly driver from 82-91.  My kids grew up in that car.
