Looks great, but can you explain this on the fire wall and why you have wires running to it.  Just curious as to what it is and what it's purpose is?

Thanks all !!! :)
There are some flaws, but I hope I can buff them out with compound.  We'll see...
I learned a lot doing it my self.
That single stage urethane was really easy to spray.  As with what I've read, the hardest part was the prep.

Total cost was less that $500 for the primer/paint etc.
I already had a 30 gal compressor and a HVLP gun.

It's the old '73 small block emissions engine temp - vacuum advance module.  It would advance the timing in relation to coolant temp.
I left it there because it has a vaccum pod inside the cowl.  When removed it leaves a 1 x 2 " hole in the firewall.
I should have welded it up, but...  I m going to hook up some fake vacuum hoses as part of the charade.
The wires are from the MSD (purple and green)  I just routed them there ;)

Hi Eldon, Yeah I did it in that prortable garage seen in the pics.  It is in such a good spot for painting - very little wind.
I painted it in August; when it was about 24*C.  Perfect temp (not too sweaty)
There were a few dust particles that I got out with a razor blade and wet sanding.
I will get to the complete wet sanding and buff out next spring...  I'm just about to put her in the garage for winter

I would love to do more, but you've got to get in line.
I still have to finish my car, then get to my wife's Barracuda next (you can just see the fender in the above pic).
All this and I'll probably have to move next summer...

Cool, thanks for that info.  I think I will just cover that spot up in my car, along with some of the other holes.  Just really never knew what it did.

71 & 72
Mine set-up is from a 71.  It has the Dodge emblem on the dvr side door and the bumper doesn't have the jack slots.

Here's a couple more pics (excuse the greasy finger prints ) ;)

Wow, very nice. Petty Blue is one of my two favorite mopar colors. My 72 Charger is Petty Blue, single stage paint job. I spent 40 hours wet sanding and buffing it two winters ago. At car shows when people comment on the paint job and I tell them it's NOT a base and clear paint job, some don't believe me.
BTW, are the relays in the battery tray area for the headlight up grade :scope:
