OK, I am stump. This year, I have replaces 3, yes 3 brake light switch this year in my 69 Charger has been droven maybe it 300 miles if that.

Problem is they stick on? Last one we used a GM injector O ring to space it out some, that lasted sense March. In that time to last Sunday car was driven 20 miles. As 41 Husk said "To get the brake lights off you need to pull the pedal to your goain"!

First 2 where made by Standred, this one came from NAPA.

At this point about the only thing keeping her from being ready for the Road.

Usually when a switch goes bad the lights won't come on.
If you have to pull up on the pedal to get them to go out it sounds like the adjustment is changing somehow.
Three switches failing in such a short period of time the same way makes me think the switches are a symptom of the problem not the cause.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

For what ever reason the switch moves.

I think you're going to have to go into your contortionist act and hang under there and watch while someone steps on it until you can see why it's moving.

My brakes light is turning on oftenly and I have allways brake... is not turning on because the parking brake, is for the warning switch. Is there some reason you could guess ?

small hose clamp around switch to keep if from sliding down causing them to stay on

Natcho, are you talking about the warning light on the dash?

cudaken

Bad, will give that a shot. There is a metal ring that stick into the bracket that is under the dash. Switch slip's into the ring. Ring has like clets (teeth) that should hold the switch but does not. Which wat should the teeth on the ring faces? Toward the fire wall or toward the driver?

You're certain there's no slack in the emrgency brake?  It may be off but have enough slop in there to allow the switch to come on.

Nacho-RT74

no parking/emergency brake slack, since when warning light comes up I FULL press the pedal and light slightly ( allmost unnoticelabe )dims.

Then my next guess would be the low pressure warning switch in the brake metering block is faulty.
