Hey,    I havent been on for awhile due to Katrina here in south Mississippi.   But all of a sudden,  my car stubbles when i turn the car off.   The key is in the off position and the motor keeps acting like it wants to run.  Then when it quits it makes a grinding sound like the starter spinning on the flywheel.   Is this a timing issue?? or is it running to lean or rich?

Jon Smith

could be timing, fuel, idle speed, mixture or carbon build up
you could always turn it off in gear ;)

Dieseling usually comes down to timing or fuel quality or any and all of the suggestions that Jon made.   Did you get a load of cheap gas?  Check timing.
