Hey guys -

They Daytona project we're working on is moving right along but there are some pieces I just don't know where to get. One is obviously the the inner rear window molding and the rear deck tray. If anyone has any ideas on this it would greatly help me out.

Thanks so much - Mike

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

:blush2:

Rene already posted the link to the best thread I can find on the subject, but I thought Larry mentioned in that thread how he solved the problem?  He did mention he found a longer piece of trim at a friend's shop...

I assume that Year One carries the Legendary reproductions... what issues with quality & fit are there? ???

Is the fit problem only with clone cars?  I plan to order the Legendary parts for my Charger 500, Daytona, & Superbird... are there any options like an alternate vendor in the future?

Here are the parts in the Legendary Catalog...

Materialwise the Superbird tray is fantastically wrong.  The original is a very odd basket weave patterned cardboard, where the repop has a patterned cloth cover which doesn't look anything like the original.   Also, the repop has a jute backing where the original is just cardboard.  If yours isn't scratched up (for the 'bird, anyway) spray it with semi flat BBQ paint and it looks great.

I'm after a package tray in green with the speaker holes for my 500, Legendary is the only one that can do but they said it's a minimum 8 week wait.

Thanks for the info Bill!  Do you know if any other vendors reproduce these parts or will soon?  I would like to go with the best quality reproduction...

An example would be the new formed carpet that ECS is planning to produce... I have had problems with the ACC carpet and plan to give the ECS carpet a try when it is available.
