am i the only one who noticed something isn't right with the taillight trim? that isn't original bezels around the taillights.. did you paint white on the tail panel to make it look like chrome trim????  :eek2:

Good eye. I can see it now that you pointed it out.

well you know it actually doesn't look that terrible. what caught me was the edges you kinda rounded them, instead of them being sharp edges.. anywho it will do in a pinch right? i pm'd you on another site a while back. i have a pair of those bezels if you need a driver quality pair i'd take $100 shipped for a pair. let me know

Did you think about keeping the vinyl top trip on the General?  did all Generals have that trim or no?

A previous owner of my '68 used some sort of chrome plastic stick-on trim to simulate the LR wheel opening molding. I didn't do much to the car for the first year but that trim kept catching my eye. I knew something was a bit off. That sort of thing is ok in a 50/50 situation (50 feet/50 mph) but not sitting still with a camera nearby.

I like the idea of the plastic trim retainers, may not last forever, but you don't have to climb inside the trunk to put the speed nuts on.
