Thought you guys may be interested in a thread that has been going on our UK Mopar forum about wing cars that are in or have been in the UK, see link

Thanks for the link. Interesting photo's. Would love to know more about the white HEMI 500. I wasn't aware of any white HEMI 500's in the UK. I knew that there is supposed to be 4 500's in the UK though.

WINGR

I also would like to thank you for sharing the link, those were some pretty sweet Mopars.

Take care.

There arn't too many left now; I came to New Zealand in '03 with a six pack 'bird and a Daytona, the Petty Blue bird and Black tail Daytona are back in the 'States, the White interior six pack 'bird was sold at B.J. a couple of years ago and at least two other birds have gone to mainland Europe.

GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

cannonball

yes us english guys know how to treat wing cars, the yellow daytona is a regular strip car runs mid 11,s,
how about this circuit runner 440 six

TiMopar

The yellow car is a real Daytona, 440, auto, F6 Bright Metallic green originally. Been here a long time, lost it's original nose early on and ran for years with a 70 Charger grill. Had a build sheet for a R4 Red car in the car...

JMF

Love the way the yellow Daytona gets raced and is not just on show in a heated museum

Jon Smith

Hope he never sells it, whoever bought it would probably restore it and it would be a shame to restore it now, it may not be as famous as the big willy car but it has a history of racing and its well known in the UK....
these people who restore stuff like that to stock are erasing history to make a quick buck :Twocents:

Bob received some criticism back in the day for the rough and ready appearance of the car, but I remember him saying to me " I've had so much fun in this car!". So good luck to him!...

:2thumbs: I agree there is only one BOB  keep it up A REAL CAR DOING WHAT IT SHOULD and my son loves seeing the yellow daytona at Santa pod the last week in July every year for the mopar nats over here in the good old UK  :nana: ONLY JOKING GUYS. but Daytona's were built to race and that car has been over here since 72 or 73 and it has now got a UK passport :icon_smile_big:.

hunted down his thread on the UK boards, the car was from denmark but he doesn't make it clear whether the car is now registered in norway or not....pic doesn't work for me now but it was the same one....
