I was wondering if the plastic cover that goes in the trunk and covers the taillights and trunk lock are being reproduced?
    Thanks

Yes, but there are two types and I'm pretty sure only one of them is being repopped.

ChargersETC..ETC..

Is one type a 1969 model and the other a 1970 model ?  Those covers must be rare I hardly ever see them being used.    There wasn't any inside trunk taillight cover used in 1968 was their? Thanks

I've seen them on ebay used every once and a while.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

The difference between the two types of tail light covers are narrow and deep versions.  The current one being repro'd is only for narrow taillights.  I found that out the hard way.  Also, the guy that is selling/making them is very cocky and has an attitude problem.  At least he did with me when I had to send mine back after him not advising me there were two versions of the panel.

Those repros in MCG are what I purchased and did not fit.  After I purchased it and had the problem with it fitting, the person told me there was two different versions.  A narrow and a deep version where it curves around the area where the tail lights are recessed.  Those the manufacture claim to fit 69 and 70 model years.

They were just copying another good idea from the 66 and 67's.

Look at the housings where the bulb goes in there is a cover over the holes or hood,my car had one side longer than the other seem like the short one was about 1 inch and the other 1.5 inch. i just cut mine to match the shorter one. since my car is a driver I didn't care. I did have address but can't seem to find it. found it

FYI - when I had a dealing with them, the guy was all nice until I had to return it cause of the problem.  Then he became a royal d!@k.  Said that I did not ship it back in the same condition as it was sent to me even though I used the exact packing material that he did and he said he did me a "favor" and still credited back my charge card. :rotz:

Dredging up an old topic but it seems right on target for my question.

Yanked this pic from a '69 ebay auction. Is this what a 69 taillight cover looks like? Or is this some awful repro?
