I bought a new accel electronic distributor and i wanted to know if i needed a discharge ignition system? How do you hook up the distributor electrical? On my mechanical it was just one wire, this on has a two that go to a plug.

myk

You're going to need an ECU/electronic control unit for starters. It's been ages since I converted my motor to electronic so I can't recall what exactly I had to do.  Go ahead and take a read off of the Mopar Performance kit's instructions; it's what I used to convert my car almost a decade ago:

ECU, wiring and dist. thats all!!!

resistance comes with kit, but is not mandatory, you can use your actually one.

and advice would it be use a double field and elec regulator charging system. Nore stable power source and save from load peaks ( high and low ) what is what get easily damage on ignition system

Please go more into double field tech, Do you mean use the electronic (newer style voltage regulator) and double field alt or ?????

yes!

if you don't want to get a new alt you can become a single field on to double field alt thought just with a drill to make a hole on back housing and the isolator and brush to fit on new drilled location.

then the elect regulator, propper plug and run just one extra wire

There was a complete article with pictures in one of the Mopar magazines on this within the last couple of months.  I didn't buy it so don't recall what issue it was.  Can somebody else help Death1970Proof with identifying the magazine.  I am sure he could order it as a back issue.
