torsion bars

What is the easiest way to put the torsion bars back in after everything else has been assembled?? Pics??

Thanks for the help anyway, I don't know if you all think I'm dumb because I didn't know how to do this or if you are all boycotting me because I stood up for 500hp_440; I got help though from a buddy of mine!! And if that was the case I feel bad for some!!

hey thanks its cool I was hoping that wasn't the case. It crossed my mind though a lot of guys I talk to are mad at him and I stood up for him. There will definatly be alot more dumb questions that I post and I gess it is due to the fact I'm new to the resto world and I'm literly doing it by myself. Every once and awhile I call the guy that did my metal work for me ( dad coulnd't help nor do we have the right tools for metal work)for help!! Some of you that are from ohio may know him. You can also do a search if you need something quick. Most likely it's been asked before regarding suspension pieces.

Got them in my buddy said something about some sort of clips to hold them in. What do they look like where can I get them where do they go?? I didn't take the suspension out, but now I'm puting it back in by my self.

the clip is just a secure to save from slide rear and loose from hex location on rear crossmember accidentally



they are located on rear crossmember, inside hex location...you'll be able to see them easily clipped in a groove. Easy to remove with plyers

are they easy to install after the bars are back in?? where can I get them?? Whats up with a dust boot do I really need them?? Is the groove on the outside or is it on the inside of where the torsion bar slides in?? Guys I'm sorry making you repeat yourself but It has to be right so I don't mess up my car.

The clips are in the back, on the frame mount.

ok thanks I'm gonna check and see if I still have them somewhere if not I'll get them from year one. DO I absolutly need those dust boots??

Get the boots, they hold in grease & keep dirt out.

Dust boots are not EXTREMELLY necesary, but if you do'n mount and need to remove T bars in the future for any reason, mostly sure they will be hard to remove because dust will stuck T bars

Cool  I do appreciate you repaeting yourself. I'm going to look through the boxes that I got back from the body shop maybe I'll get lucky and they will be in there.

This guys having the same problems i am ,only i have my torsion bar in finally ,and i bought my clips but they seem to be to small ive stretched them out ,and they grab the sidesbut u can still pull them out by hand ,the clips look  like the pictures and the bars are all the way in where it turns in into hexogon  but theres not mutch of a groove for it to rest in ,any ideas
