I'm sure this picture has been posted before but it makes me wonder. 1: Why does it look like the car was run over by something? 2: It looks like it is sitting on something....what do you guys think?

Even though I own a general lee it really depresses me to see what they did to that car I dunno what they did?

looks like it hit something hard in the front and poss look the way both front fenders buckle out, and then certianly FLIPPED maybe end over end?

I can't remember the details as this is an era I really dislike and pay little attention to, but I believe it started as this jump:

That real R/T was the first car to be jumped in the grande finale of "Carnival of Thrills". It clipped a car on the way down, so they had to jump the offroad modified General Lee for the landing shot.

The pictures are from a Barbara Mandrell TV special where a supposedly driverless General Lee picks John up on a dirt road.

That lower picture was a closeup car for a while. Don't always judge the grilles because they were swapped around often. There was a 1968 Charger that featured a 1969 R/T grille for quite a while early on.

My car is a 68 they changed to a 69 for the dukes. But it wasnt a RT..Just a 318 car.

LEE1 wasn't the only GL with rocker mouldings, you notice this time from time the car still has rocker mouldings, just painted orange. I guess its correct to say Lee1 was the only general with Natural looking mouldings.

That is 100% correct. And it is something I have corrected a zillion times, but am never listened to.
