The dashboard of my 69 charger...what does this 'mystery switch' do?

You have a 68 dash in your 69. It is the rear defrost switch. Pretty sure 69 did not have the switch in the dash.   :2thumbs:

1969-70 it was in the convertable top location. That overhang of the dash right next to the heater controls.

Back N Black is right, the vertical ribbing on the bezel instead of the 69 camera case grain also tells you its a 68 dash.

That lowers the top on a '68 Coronet R/T convertible with rallye gauge option, or rear defrost.

It could also be an ejection seat control.  Was your car ever owned by a secret agent?  :coolgleamA:
