Kung Fu Fighting (Lyrics by Carl Douglas)

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

They were funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up and they were chopping them down
It's an ancient Chineese art and everybody knew their part
From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

There was funky Billy Chin and little Sammy Chung
He said here comes the big boss, lets get it on
We took a bow and made a stand, started swinging with the hand
The sudden motion made me skip now we're into a brand knew trip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing

(repeat)..make sure you have expert timing
Kung-fu fighting, had to be fast as lightning

that's about as Asian as Keith Carradine   ;D

Keith??  ??? You mean David??

Anyway, I know an easy fix. Just replace it with "Ballroom Blitz."

Ballroom Blitz
by Vanilla Ninja

Are you ready, Lenna? Aha.
Maarja? Yeah!
Piret, Kati? OK.
Alright, girls, let's go!

Oh it's been getting so hard
Livin' with the things you do to me, aha
Oh my dreams are getting so strange
I'd like to tell you everything I see
Oh, I see a man at the back
As a matter of fact his eyes are red as the sun
And a girl in the corner let no one ignore her
'Cause she thinks she's the passionate one

Oh, yeah, it was like lightning, everybody was frightening
And the music was soothing, and they all started grooving

Ref:

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
And the man at the back said
Everyone attack and it turned into a ballroom blitz
And the girl in the corner said
Boy, I wanna warn ya, it'll turn into a ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz, ballroom blitz, ballroom blitz
Ballroom blitz

I'm reaching out for something
Touching nothing's all I ever do
Oh, I softly call you over
When you appear there's nothing left of you, aha
Now the man in the back
Is ready to crack as he raises his hands to the sky
And the girl in the corner is ev'ryone's mourner
She could kill you with a wink of her eye

Oh yeah, it was electric, so frightfully hectic
And the band started leaving, 'cause they all stopped
breathing

Ref:

Oh yeah, it was like lightning, everybody was frightening
And the music was soothing, and they all started grooving

Refrain

It's it's a ballroom blitz, it's it's a ballroom blitz
It's it's a ballroom blitz, yeah, it's a ballroom blitz

Ballroom Blitz

i use the theme from BONANZA...   :icon_smile_approve:

Hey Strat, you just reminded me of something I saw a couple of weeks ago. There was a Frank Sinatra movie called "Lady in Cement" back in the late 60's. (Sinatra's a detective in this flick, & there are some cool cars in it as well.) In one scene Sinatra shows up at this guys apartment to talk to him. The guy, played by "Dan Blocker" (Hoss from Bonanza) was busy watching TV. Guess what the show was he was watching. It was Bonanza. Now there's a small piece of useful trivia.  :icon_smile_big:

You can change it into whatever, it's not like that Kung Fu song from the 70's is one of my favorites.   :D

And now that I'm thinking about it, There were other movies where actors had their characters come back as a cameo. Like a movie Frankie Avalon & Annette Funicello did, "Back to the Beach" in late 80's. I labored through this movie because there's a bar scene where the bar band is Stevie Ray Vaughan & Dicky Dale playing Pipeline. I have the soundtrack just for this too. :icon_smile_big:

Anyway, the bartender in this movie is Bob Denver who's dressed as Gilligan. Frankie Avalon is drinking & complaining to him about something, & Bob Denver starts to complain about being stuck on an island & says "I once knew this guy who could build a nuclear reactor out of a pineapple and a couple of coconuts, but he couldn't build a boat." Dumb movie, but there were enough parodies to make it funny.

The other was an "Airplane" sequel, where William Shatner is en route to the moon on a shuttle. When they run into problems & are going to crash, he looks through a periscope to see what the trouble is. What he saw was the USS Enterprise, & pulls away from the periscope, looks puzzled & looks again. Another good laugh that wasn't expected.

I was watching the French Connection (part 1) with Gene Hackman the other night and saw a whole bunch of nice Mopars. Even a nice 69 or 70 copper Charger with white top.

I moved my Wifes Pacifica out of the garage yesterday in the AM to put out the garbage and she had our Daughter's CD in play mode when I started the car.

I had "Mary Had a Little Lamb" stuck in my head all day, lamb noises in the background and all.

Seasons In The Sun

Goodbye to you my trusted friend
We ´ve known each other since we
Were nine or ten
Together we ´ve climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and abc ´s
Skinned our hearts and
Skinned our knees

Goodbye my friend it ´s hard to die
When all the birds are singing
In the sky
Now that spring is in the air
Pretty girls are everywhere
Think of me and i ´ll be there

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the hills that we climbed were
just seasons out of time

goodbye papa please pray for me
i was the black sheep of the family
you tried to teach me right from wrong
too much wine and too much song
wonder how i got along

goodbye papa it ´s hard to die
when all the birds are singing in the sky
now that the spring is in the air
little children everywhere
when you see them i ´ll be there

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the songs like the
seasons have all gone
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like
the seasons have all gone

goodbye michelle my little one
you gave me love and helped
me find the sun
and every time that i was down
you would always come around
and get my feet back on
the ground

goodbye michelle it ´s hard to die
when all the birds are singing in
the sky
now that the spring is in the air
with the flowers everywhere
i wish that we could both be there

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the hills that we climbed were
just seasons out of time

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone

we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone

Darryl, no thanks, I'll stay with Kung Fu Fighting.

I was telling my father about the Sinatra movie, "Lady in Cement", & he said it was either the first, or the sequel to another one called "Tony Rome". I'll have to look for it as well as "The Detective".

I was checking out of the Reno Hilton this morning. While standing in a LONG LINE waiting my turn, I hear the voice of Satin himself over the house sound system. In a low steady voice, I hear the unmistakable, blood curdling sound of Captain & Tenielle singing "Muskrat Love".
