Switching from manual to power steering - any advice?

I'm contemplating whether to attempt replacing the manual steering gearbox in a 68 charger (440) with a power steering unit.  It really needs it, but it looks like the engine will need to be either lifted up, or taken out altogether.  Anyone done this, or have any advice on the best way to to go about it?  Thanks.

On my 69 I've gone the other way, dumb move. I had to also change the steering shaft to a longer one.
You would need a shorter one. Also the pitman is different.

No expert just did what worked.

What kind of manual steering box do you currently have? Want to trade? Want to sell your manual box? I want to go from Power Steering to Manual. Mine is a '69 Charger...

Thanks guys.  The customer changed his mind and is going to stick with the manual steering.
