If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

This past Sunday i went to the flea market and bought approx 18-20 old car magazines from 1958-1974,.. i'm still going through them, 'n i've only gone cover to cover on four, from '66s car and driver testing the New Fastback dodge Charger to a couple motor trends one naming the '67 cougar car of the year and another from '65 and one Road & Track from '64, I also bought several sports car illustrateds and a couple early car and drivers, in any case,.. these things are simply loaded with MOPAR Ads (Among others) I either don't remember or haven't ever seen before, even on the web. one notable car for sale ad in the '64 R&T was for a 1935 Grand Prix winning Buggatti 35 C in perfect condition for $2,700.

my favorites tend to be the really sexist '69 charger ads like the eternal triangle and the julia and the funny '68 road runner ads like the one where the british sports car club is pissed off one of their guys bought a new Plymouth R.R. that dusted them... and of course the mod petermax ed roth exagerated ones... here's an oldy..

note the body color scoop, anyone know the story with that?.. too bad the full color artwork was replaced largely by photographs.. BTW before 1968 most of the ads were in B&W..

yeah, that's it... Thanks!! i love the way those ads would create an entire world that was obviously total BS... the expression on those faces! here's some cool pics i found while scouting around.. these are probably posted somewhere on here... from this page, any of these can be enlarged by clicking on them.. http://www.stockcarracing.com/web/scrp_0503w_charger/index1.html
